I’m Belle,
I’m so glad you found me!
My journey probably like yours has been a bit bumpy at times, but to be honest I wouldn’t change it for the world! My career as a health professional spans 20 years and started with working in a busy acute medical ward. My love of emergency and trauma soon surfaced and stayed with me for over half my career both here in NZ and abroad.
Returning to NZ and settling in the beautiful Hawkes Bay saw me seek non-clinical roles where I could grow my knowledge in quality and leadership while completing more study and starting a family.
Fast forward a few years and my husband had a significant mountain biking accident which was the start of our family seeking to reduce toxins in our world, prioritizing our health and wellbeing and living slower, more intentional lives.
The world as we knew it got a bit funky back in 2020! Unfortunately I didn’t recognise the late signs of too much stress and overwhelm, which led to a significant burnout and the beginning of the end of my career in the more traditional model of health.
A good break, lots of time in nature with family and friends, a bit more study and a dive back into the wellness space has led me here, hopefully working with you on your journey to health and wellbeing!!
My Approach
I often get asked what is a Health Coach?
I work across five key pillars of Health that resonate with my values and the way I seek to live my life. Nourishment, Movement, Sleep, Balance and Connection. Throughout our busy lives the focus or priority of the Pillars may change as different demands are placed on us. That's life! AND completely normal.
Where many of us get into strife is when one or more of the pillars are neglected or not prioritized for extended periods and particularly during times of stress or poor health.
Unmanaged stress is just one element that can lead to Burnout and is an area I specialise in for both individuals and workplaces.
Coaching isn't a one size fits all approach, it’s unique to you and your health and wellbeing goals. Its not a diet or fitness program and I don't have a magic wand that I can wave and you will achieve your health goals overnight (I wish). I believe that working with the right coach (hopefully me), the answers that are needed will come from within you, and step by step you will achieve those goals.
